This page explains how users of the Hey Olympia app can request deletion of their account and exercise personal data rights.
1. How to Request Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your Hey Olympia app account in either of the following ways:
- In the Hey Olympia app: open the app menu or Settings screen and select Delete account.
- By email: send your request to dpo@heyolympia.com from the email address associated with your account.
2. Who Can Use This Process
Primary users may request deletion of their own account.
Family member account holders may request deletion of their own account.
An authorised proxy or carer may request deletion on behalf of a primary user where they are authorised to do so.
3. What Personal Data We Delete
When we process a valid deletion request, we delete the personal data associated with the relevant Hey Olympia app account, including:
- Name and account profile details
- Email address and contact details
- Conversation transcripts
- Memories generated from conversations
- Uploaded voice messages, audio files, and other uploaded personal content associated with the account
4. What We May Keep
If we are required by law to retain specific records, we may keep only the information required for that legal purpose and only for the period required by law.
5. Timing
We aim to complete deletion requests promptly and will respond within one month, as required by applicable data protection law.
